| Description: | The tour will start at the lower carpark at Dead Horse Gap beside the Thredbo River. We will ski along the first part of Cascades Trail and then on towards Boggy Plain. Distance covered will depend on how the group progresses – the aim will be to have a relatively leisurely pace; nonetheless, if progress is good, we might get to Teddy’s Hut. Return will probably be by the same route although we could consider skiing back on the west side of the river if snow-cover is good. Participants could consider staying at Kalkite on Friday night, or can make an early start from Canberra. |
