Canberra Cross Country Ski Club
Kosciuszko Tour XC Ski Race – 31st July 2021
The Canberra Cross-Country Ski Club has restarted with restricted activities, following Government COVID-19 pandemic guidelines on social & mobility restrictions.
Social Meeting attendees will need to record their attendance of the Hughes Community Centre rooms by using the Check In CBR app.
All skiers are welcome to participate in the Kosciuszko Tour – from the serious racers to backcountry tourers and those who just want a fun day out touring the beautiful high country.
The CCCSC Kosciuszko Tour will be held (Covid restrictions permitting) on Saturday 31 July at Perisher Valley. The course will be approximately 18 kilometres in distance and will go wherever the best snow is on the day. There will be a few changes this year due to Covid-19. These include no food or snacks at the drink stations, with racers encouraged to carry their own. Instead of a formal presentation there will be a free BBQ lunch outside the Nordic shelter and a brief prize giving ceremony. Bring plenty of warm clothing to wear before and after the race as entry to the Nordic shelter may be restricted.
The 2021 Kosciuszko Tour is on Saturday 31 July.
Time: 10am on 31 July 2021
Location: Start and finish at the Perisher Nordic Shelter.
Approx distance: 18 km.
Separate Classic and Freestyle categories. Freestyle skiers will start 15 minutes after the Classic skiers.
