The most Important workparty of the Summer. It is time to install the winter drainage pipes (the XC version of Half-Pipes) and covers that help to control running water on the trails under the snow. It isn’t heavy work but needs lots of hands. At the same time the Nordic Shelter will be prepared for opening whenever the snow falls. If you can attend for the weekend, a day or a few hours, it will be time constructively contributed to your sport. Bring your gumboots, clothing for any weather, hat, work gloves, safety glasses, etc. Also, bring snacks, drinks and lunch.
If you would like to stay overnight, accommodation will be provided at Canberra Alpine Club Lodge in Perisher (thank you CAC!) on Friday and/or Saturday night. Bring bed linen, towels, food and drink for an evening meal to share on Saturday night. Or just join us for a social evening.
