Main Range

Intermediate-advanced skills required as we’ll go off-track over rolling terrain. Distance covered and exact route will depend on who shows interest and who turns up,      however, it will not be a beginners’ trip. Probably on the Main Range unless the weather is bad, in which case I’ll stay lower, for example, in the Guthega-Mt Tate area. Meeting place will be in Jindabyne at the Nugget’s Crossing Bakery. I will be coming from Kalkite.

Intermediate skills means: can maintain control and perform the following skills on hilly terrain (green-blue downhill runs): kick turns, snow plough turns, step turns, side slip, side step, herringbone, traverse, diagonal stride and self arrest.
