| Description: |
Kunama Lodge was destroyed by an avalanche in 1956, killing one person. Apparently there are still ruins, as a KHA link photo shows, but I have never seen them. So the intent of this trip is to ski up to the slopes of Mt Lee and find them. If there is time, we could ski further, depending on the capability of the group. It’s only a few kms up to Mt Lee. However, we do have to wade across the Snowy River, (provided its safe to do so). Meet at Charlotte Pass ready to leave by 9:30am. |
